Elle,
Thank you very much for your wee message saying I did well on Brian Conley's Judgement Day show on Saturday night. I was really nervous and worried about how I would sound on television, but was kinda surprised, didn't sound too bad eh.
Don't you dare even think about putting a rat in my bag or I'll just annoy you even more, hee hee.
Looking forward to another year working alongside you in the squad chick, you're a wee gem and loadsa fun.

I really cannot wait until the auditions in June. I am really nervous though. Any tips on impressing the judges???
Reply:
Hi Ellie, the best tip for the auditions is to just be yourself. We are looking for personality as well as dance ability since the girls have to perform at promos and charity events as well as dance at the games. Info on the upcoming tryouts will be posted soon so please keep checking back.
Hope to see you soon, Carole Anne

Hi Girls,
Are you going to the Finals at the NIA? It would be great to see you cheer on the Rocks with the rest of the fans - it would also give you a chance to see me in my kilt!
Reply:
Hi Stebs, unfortunately the girls will not be going to the Finals. Since the other teams won't have their cheerleaders there the League felt that there would be a conflict of interests if the Rocks were the only team with a dance squad cheering them on.
We're all very proud that the Rocks have made it to the Finals and we'll be following their progress with baited breath! Go Rocks!!!
P.S. Make sure you wear your kilt to next season's home games!

Dear Chris (the DJ), yes I agree.
I thought you did really well and showed real potential to be a professional cheerleader (you definitely have that cheesy smile!). Had a look at the game footage and there are a few wee things we would need to work on - the back bend for starters!!!

awrite ladies. are u all good friends with the players?? we r goin to the game on sunday box seats see u there:)
Reply:
Hello Fraser,
We don't really get an opportunity to become friends with the players as we both train so hard, and only ever see each other on game day. We get the chance to chat to them in hospitality after the game - they are all really nice guys. But like the fans, Billy is the girls' favourite - he is such a gentleman.
The girls say "Hi"

Hi, i have a few questions to ask!! Carole Anne are you pleased at how far the squad has improved since you were made in charge? Also it says Carole Anne was one of the people picking the squad at try outs - how did u come about being made in charge?
Reply:
Hi Pamela,
Thanks for your questions - I was recommended for the job as dance squad manager by the previous coach when the Rocks relocated to Glasgow back in August. I am really enjoying the job, and that's mainly because I have a great group of girls. The girls have worked really hard and I am really proud of how well the squad is doing and how much the girls have improved.
We have had loads of positive feedback from the fans and that makes all the hard work worth it. The girls are very close and they have become really good friends and I think that makes the squad sparkle!
Take Care,
Carole Anne :-)

What made you (the squad) get into dancing? And, have you always enjoyed it, or were there times where you felt as though you couldn't go on?
Replies:
'I got into dancing mostly because I love music. After competing at competitions for many years I gave it up for almost one year due to injury. Then bounced back again and have been dancing and teaching dance ever since. After a hard days work and then dancing all night I go home and think "right that's it I'm giving it up" but after a hot bath, refreshed I'm ready for the next hard slog - bring it on..!' - Kat x

'Been dancing since I could walk! I love it! I hope I can dance forever. I never get sick of it.' - Elle

'I started dancing at the age of 4 and have been performing and competing since then. I try and get as much work as I can under my belt.' - Charlene

'I've been dancing since I was 8 and it's just something that's always come naturally. Studying dance everyday is hard work but I'll never be bored of it.' - Paula

'Well I won't lie, it is hard work managing the Rockettes and there have been times when I have thought it's too much especially with a full time career. But then I dance at one of the games and it makes it all worth while - I love performing! I am really lucky as all the girls are fantastic dancers and they all help out with ideas on choreography etc. However, best of all they are really nice people and we have all become really close friends, that's probably what makes the Rockettes that cut above the rest.' - Carole Anne

'Danced since the age of 4. Just really enjoy dancing and always looking for new ways to express this and had never tried cheerleading. To be perfectly honest I did have a bit of biased idea of what I thought it would be like but glad to say that was totally wrong. It's really hard work and loadsa fun. We work really hard on our routines to try to keep it really funky and fresh. Sometimes I do think noooooooo I can't do it specially if I have been dancing the night before but I always do and feel loads better for it.' - Mags
