Questions & Answers…

Been dancing since: I could walk hehe, but been going to dance classes since I was 2 years old.

Dance Experience: Trained in disco, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap and hip hop. I'm partial to a wee rock and roll class as well. I've danced at various events not including the many events I've been lucky to perform in thanks to the Rockettes – fashion shows for Rainbow Room, Ted Baker, young designers in Glasgow. Clubs all over Scotland and England for various DJs and singers including DJ Vance, MC Clarkie, Ian van Dahl, lmc, Kelly Lorrena etc. I am head dancer (singer) for the Casio brothers.

Favourite style of dance: Do I have to pick? It would have to be hip-hop – you can put your own style into it and I love hip-hop music

What advice would you give to aspiring dancers? Always smile and practise makes perfect. Enjoy yourself it will come through in your performance and make it better.

Best advice ever given to me: Always smile!

What I do to keep fit: Training with the Rockettes, I also really love aerobics because I trained to be an aerobics instructor… I find it really easy so it doesn't feel like exercise! I go to additional dance classes out with the Rockettes. I also go to the gym I also like to walk and I go swimming twice a week. I've just recently started snowboarding and when I say recently I mean I have had one lesson at Xscape and most importantly I've bought the outfit… a girl's got to look good on the slopes!

Three words that describe me are: Funny, friendly and kind.

I'm happiest when: I'm spending time with my family, dancing with the Rockettes.

My claim to fame is: Being on millions of flyers and billboards all over Glasgow for the Tunnel and Play nightclub and being on Test the Nation with Phillip Schofield and Anne Robinson – I didn't get that good of a score though, whoops! And also made a speech about an embarrassing story! Cringe…

My most unusual job: I think it would have to be a cheerleader, what other job do you know that the uniform entails hot pants and dancing in front of thousands of people? I also did a promotion for the launch of a new spray tan where I had to stand on a podium in a gold bikini being sprayed gold all day to promote it.

If I had a different job I'd be: A children's TV presenter – I'd love to gunge someone!

My hobbies are: Dancing, travelling, shopping reading and I just got one of those Nintendo Wii's – they're fab, they keep you fit too! There's also a dancing game, bonus! I'm a bit of a wizz on the bowling and air-hockey game.

Pets: None, yet but I really, really, really, really want a British Bulldog – they're soooooooooooooooo cute! Ever since I saw that Churchill advert I've wanted one even more OHHHHHH YESSS! I've got one of those wee toy bobble head ones in my car that will have to do till Santa brings me a real one.

Most people don't know this about me: I have webbed toes and I like the taste of soap and marmite.

My happiest moment was: I had my baby, I got told I was in the Rockettes, when I passed my nursing exams and when I passed my driving test. OK so I have a few!

My most embarrassing moment was: I have a few when I first met my fiancé we went to a restaurant and I went to the ladies and when I came back out my skirt was tucked in the back of my pants and the waitress came over and told me CRINGE! Or when I fell on my patient's head while they were having treatment – whoops!

I've never been able to: Whistle a tune!

Things that really annoy me: Liars and jealous people.

Favourite food: Di Maggio's ying-yang chicken and Ferrero Rocher and strawberries and cream.

Favourite joke: "What's big, blue and spongy?" A big blue sponge! hahahahahahaha – I don't get out much!

Favourite movie: There's too many to pick just one – Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, The Wedding Singer, Dumb and Dumber, Grease and Hairspray. I also love Bring it on Again… what cheerleader doesn't?

Favourite song: 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton ("what a way to make a living") it's a karaoke classic!

Favourite TV show: Friends, Hollyoaks, Sex and the City and Ugly Betty.

Favourite location in Scotland: Largs – it's gorgeous. I can't wait to perform at the Largs Viking festival – the Rockettes do it every year it's fab! It's also great for ice cream and a wee fish supper!

Favourite quote: "That old chestnut" and "what goes around comes around".

Favourite colour: It used to be pink but I'm loving purple at the moment – it has so many different shades.

Favourite flower: Lilies, red roses and tulips (purple ones).

Favourite perfume: Alien.

Favourite colour of nail polish: It has to be old faithful au natural French manicure – it goes with everything!

Favourite sport: Apart from dancing it's badminton and swimming.

Favourite chocolate bar: Flake – you can sprinkle it over anything. It's great with strawberries and cream.

Favourite cartoon character: Spongebob Squarepants (he lives in a pineapple under the sea).

Favourite cake: Asda cornflake cakes and Greggs yum yums YYYYYYUUUUUMMMMMYYYY!

Favourite pizza topping: Anything with jalapeno peppers. Pizza Hut's hot chick mmmmmm!

Favourite Super Hero: Wonder Women – even her accessories had secret powers woo hoo!

If you could have a super-power for a day what would it be and how would you spend your day? I can't decide between being invisible or being able to fly. If I was invisible I would sneak into Buckingham Palace and see what the Queen really gets up to and if I could fly I would fly around the world and see everywhere in one day.

What ringtone do you have on your mobile phone at the moment? Pussycat Dolls 'Don't cha'.

What's your 'handbag essentials'? Everything in my handbag is essential – I leave the house with everything in my bag but the kitchen sink. The must-haves are concealer, bronzer, lip gloss, hankies, perfume and chewing gum.

How many pairs of shoes do you own? My fiancé would say too many but I do have three cupboards full and a bag to match every pair – you just have to!

Heels or trainers? Heels definitely!

Favourite outfit? My Rockettes uniform of course!

Fashion/beauty accessory you can't live without: My St Tropez fake tan – a tan goes with every outfit and makes you look slimmer and healthier – it's a must-have beauty accessory. A must-have fashion accessory would have to be a good fitting pair of jeans they go with anything you can dress them up or down and my Capezio dance trainers I couldn't live without them.

Hottest new fashion tip: Waist belts – I love them. They can give a baggy shirt shape and make it look good. So remember if you're staying at your boyfriend's house all you need is your waist belt and you can raid his wardrobe.

Biggest hair trauma: When I mistakenly picked up anti-perspirant deodorant thinking it was hairspray and sprayed it all over my hair and when I looked in the mirror my hair was all white! Also I had a perm when I was thirteen.

Worst male fashion mistake: The Borat man thong! Oh, and socks with sandals!

Worst chat-up line: "Is your name Gillette because you're the best a man can get!"

If your life was made into a movie what would it be called and who would play you? Let's Dance because that's all I do and Jim Carrey in a blonde wig would play me so he could pull my crazy faces.

If you had to appear in a musical on Broadway which one would it be: It would have to be Grease.

The person/people I most admire are: My family. They are always there for me and support me no matter what.

What is the best gift you have ever received? My son and my Audi A4 convertible with private registration.

Name two people you would like to have dinner with: Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson so I could persuade them to get back together. I loved that show Newlyweds and they're both so gorgeous and go perfect together.

My proudest accomplishment to date is: Becoming a Rockette and passing my nursing exams and being a mum.

What is the best thing about being a Rockettes Dancer? being in the Rockettes is amazing, they're all a great bunch of girls and we're all very hard working. We all like to work hard and play fair. Being in the Rockettes you get to meet lots of really interesting people and travel to great places. But the bestest thing about being in the Rockettes is dancing at the Rocks games on a Sunday and cheering on the team. GO ROCKS!

What would you like to be doing in five years? I would have my own dance school, be a top aerobics instructor working in a gym a few nights a week. I'll be a dental hygienist, I would also like to have my own wee dancewear boutique – I love dance clothes and hopefully successful in everything I do.
